Founded in October 2021, Next In Line Comedy is a stand-up comedy collective run by Philly comedians Manny Brown and Tyler Wolf. As comics with an intimate knowledge of the Philly comedy scene and life-long stand-up comedy fans, Manny and Tyler wanted to create an independent and less expensive stand-up comedy experience without sacrificing quality.

What started as a couple of comedy shows a month, had now turned into Philadelphia’s Hottest Independent Comedy Club. You will not only see the best local comics, but the hottest up-and-coming comics from all over the country. We’ve had comics perform from every major city in America: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Boston Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, and Austin - just to name a few! While some of our comics may not be household names yet - they are definitely “next in line.” Catch them now before you’ve got to pay a lot more to see them!
Meet the Founders
Manny Brown
In addition to being a co-founder of Next In Line Comedy, Manny Brown is a Philly-based comedian and lawyer. When Manny is not writing briefs and very slowly paying off massive amounts of student debt, you can find him on stages around Philly and beyond, joking about anything from race relations to rice krispie treats. While Next In Line is his “home” and favorite place to perform, you can also find Manny at bigger clubs, including Helium, Punch Line, etc. Manny has also performed with several comedians with Wikipedia pages, including Beth Stelling, Ari Shaffir, and Donnell Rawlings.
Tyler Wolf
Tyler Wolf is a pretty solid guy who doesn't know what else to put in the first sentence to break the ice. You should get to know him, he’s better in person. He has opened for Gilbert Gottfried, Joe Matarese, Asif Ali, and Michael Kosta to name just a few. Hailing from Philadelphia, Tyler can be seen performing across the country. When he isn’t on the road, Tyler hits the stage all over his home city every night of the week. His jump shot is better than you would expect and he’ll be happy to prove it. How it All Began
In 2019, Manny and Tyler met as young comics in Philly’s open mic scene looking for more stage time for them and their friends. Coming out of lockdown, the friends quickly realized that the Philly comedy scene needed something to bridge the gap between the big comedy clubs (that often come with expensive drink/item minimums) and free local showcases at bars (where everyone just wants to watch the game and not a comic talking about their feelings). Audiences and comics alike deserved a third option: a more intimate and less expensive comedy experience without sacrificing quality. Thus, in October 2021, Next In Line Comedy was born. Now, up-and-coming comics have a space to hone their craft in front of paying attentive audiences and Philly audiences get to watch the hottest new comics from Philly and around the country for an affordable price.
